Account Information

When you register for an account, we collect:

  • Company name and business information
  • Contact name and email address
  • Password (stored in encrypted/hashed form)

Driver Information

When freight drivers interact with the Service via SMS, we collect:

  • Mobile phone number
  • Company name or identifier (if provided by the driver)
  • SMS message content
  • Check-in timestamps and door assignment records

Usage Data

We automatically collect operational data including check-in volumes, wait times, and service usage metrics for analytics and platform improvement.

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the DockCall platform
  • Process driver check-ins and send SMS notifications (door assignments, queue updates)
  • Communicate with you about your account and the Service

4. SMS Data and Mobile Information

We do not sell, share, rent, or trade mobile phone numbers or any personal information collected through SMS interactions with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.

Mobile phone numbers collected through the Service are used solely for the purpose of facilitating freight driver check-ins and sending transactional SMS messages (check-in confirmations, door assignments, and operational notifications).

Driver phone numbers are associated only with the specific warehouse organization the driver is checking into and are not shared across organizations on our platform.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We use Twilio for SMS delivery. Twilio processes phone numbers and message content as necessary to deliver messages. See Twilio's Privacy Policy.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or government request.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of the transaction.

6. Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Check-in records and SMS logs are retained for operational and analytics purposes. Upon account termination, data is retained for 30 days to allow for export, after which it is permanently deleted.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS)
  • Encrypted password storage (bcrypt hashing)
  • Tenant-isolated database architecture (each organization's data is logically separated)

9. Driver Rights

Freight drivers who interact with the Service via SMS have the right to:

  • Opt out of SMS messages at any time by texting STOP
  • Re-subscribe by texting START
  • Request information about what data is stored by contacting the warehouse organization or DockCall directly

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
